Qatar World Cup 2022

Within 24 hours of the opening of ticket sales for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, 1.2 million tickets were in demand.

Qatar aims to attract around 1.2 million sports fans to the 32-nation event. The demand for tickets exceeds the number of tickets available for domestic or international markets.

According to FIFA, there was a huge demand for tickets for Qatar World Cup-2022 as it kicked off to sale on January 20.

The biggest demand for tickets for the World Cup is football fans within Qatar followed by football fans from Argentina, Mexico, USA, United Arab Emirates, England, India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and France.

According to FIFA, more than 140,000 tickets have been requested for the final game to be held in Lusell Stadium in Doha on December 18 Sunday and more than 80,000 tickets for the opening game that kicks off on Monday November 21 at the Al Bayt stadium in Al Khor.

FIFA said that “In the interest of all football fans for the World Cup starting November 21 FIFA.com Tickets is the only official and legitimate website to apply for Qatar World Cup 2022 tickets,”

Tickets are priced from a minimum of 40 to a maximum of 750 Qatari rials. FIFA has stated that all tickets will be distributed after the application period expires.

Tickets will be distributed through a random selection draw process. In the early stages, on the first day, on the last day, or at any time in between, there will be no difference when requesting a ticket, FIFA said.
