As hundreds of climbers were cheering their success to atop the world’s highest Mountain (8,848.86 meters) but on the other dark side two climbers have died on Mount Everest.

41-year-old Abdul Waraich from Switzerland and Puwei Liu, 55, of the United States were the unlucky guys to lose their lives in snow. This was the first known fatalities of this year’s expedition to the snow-capped Mt Everest.

According to the information, “Abdul successfully reached the world’s highest summit but began experiencing issues during his descent but was unable to control himself even with the help of Sherpas and died on the way down,” writes Chhang Dawa from Seven Summit Treks in Nepal on Instagram.

Likewise, a U.S. national Puwei Liu, 55, also died at the highest camp on the mountain at South Col.

Over 400 climbers of different expedition teams were permitted to ascend Mt. Everest this year by the Nepal government.

Of which many mountaineers had reached the top of the mountain and came back successfully. Still, poor weather conditions on Mount Everest have also forced other climbers to descend to lower altitudes for now.

To note, eleven mountaineers lost their lives while climbing Everest in 2019.
