Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder-Goldberger organized a farewell reception on Wednesday October 9 at his residence on the eve of the ambassador’s departure.

“As my tenure as the Israeli Ambassador to this beautiful vibrant and diverse country–Nepal (for the second time) draws to a close, it has been an honor and a privilege of serving as Ambassador of Israel in Nepal and I want to express my sincere appreciation and deepest gratitude to the incredible people of Nepal for all your support, friendship and cooperation during my stay,” says Ambassador Goder.

“This has been an incredible journey, and I’ve appreciated having so many of you by my side,” pointing to dozens of invitees at the lush garden who have been great friends to the Ambassador.

“I take this opportunity to wish for every success, hoping that in the future our roads will cross again,” he added.

Sharing on his days in Nepal, the ambassador says “Nepal is a special place in my heart, and the experiences I’ve had here will forever shape my outlook on diplomacy, collaboration, and the resilience of communities facing challenges. Throughout my time here, I’ve witnessed firsthand the unwavering unique set of challenges too.”

“Nepal and Israel share a commitment to bolster economic development and promoting democratic values has been the cornerstone of our partnership. The enduring relationships we’ve built are a testament to the shared values and aspirations we hold dear. The bonds forged during my tenure will continue to serve as a testament to the enduring friendship between our nations,” lauded the Israeli Ambassador and added further that, “Thank you for allowing me the privilege of living with you as the representative of Israel. I leave with a heart full of gratitude.”

“The diplomatic relationship between Israel and Nepal was established on June 1, 1960 during the time of Governments of Prime Ministers of Nepal and Israel late B.P. Koirala and the late David Ben Gurion respectively. Today, the extent of our diplomatic cooperation has thickened in ways we hardly could have imagined sixty-four years ago. As Ambassador, I have dedicated myself to bringing our countries together with kindness, respect, great warmth, and tremendous generosity. Israel-Nepal relations will be strengthened in the days ahead,” ambassador stressed.

The core friends of the ambassador were entertained with Israeli food at the end.
