Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Shmulik Arie Bass laid the foundation stone for a Memorial Park in Far Western University in Tikapur Sunday on March 15, 2026 Sunday.
The park is to be dedicated to the 11 Nepali students who were brutally killed in the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack in Israel, said the press release of the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu.
The memorial park will honour the students’ hard work, dedication, and aspirations, and stands as a tribute to their memory and the strong people-to-people connection between Nepal and Israel.
Ambassador Bass also visited Punarbas Municipality located in Kanchanpur and had talked on various issues including community development and bilateral cooperation with Mayor of the municipality Toya Prasad Sharma, former lawmaker Ms. Tara Lama Tamang and others.
The Ambassador also had taken keen interest in on-going agricultural farming done by Bimal Bhandari.

Bhandari was in Israel under the “Learn and Earn” agro-program of Israel.
After his return to Nepal Bhandari has been using his agricultural knowledge and skills gained from Israel in banana farming. in his home town in West Nepal.
The visit of the ambassador to west Nepal has reflected the strong and enduring ties between Nepal and Israel, the embassy believed.
