The Government of Nepal has appointed Additional Inspector General Dhiraj Pratap Singh as the Inspector General of Nepal Police and Additional Inspector General Raju Aryal as the Inspector General of the Armed Police Force.

The cabinet meeting held Sunday has appointed Singh and Aryal to the highest rank of the two security forces.

Both the security chiefs are scheduled to receive post insignia on Monday morning from Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey amidst a function to be held at the Home Ministry in Singha Durbar.

Both the incumbent IGPs Shailesh Thapa Chhetri and Pushparam KC have retired after serving 30 years of service, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
