China donates 20,000 oxygen cylinders, more medical equipment
The first batch of oxygen cylinders and ventilators donated by the Chinese government arrived in Kathmandu.
A Nepal Airlines aircraft, that had left Kathmandu for Chinese capital Beijing on Monday, returned with 400 oxygen cylinders, 160 oxygen concentrators and 10 ventilators Tuesday afternoon.
China donated to help it fight the Covid-19 crisis, on Tuesday.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi writes in her Twitter account that “We wish friendly Nepali people an early victory over the pandemic!”
Recalling to the Chinese Government’s announcement earlier that China will donate 20,000 oxygen cylinders to Nepal as the country facing shortage of oxygen cylinders.
According to government sources, rest oxygen cylinders, ventilators will be brought by air as well as land route sooner.
