Nepal and Cameroon have established diplomatic relations.

Permanent Representatives of Nepal and Cameroon at the United Nations H.E. Amrit Rai & H.E. Michel Tommo Monthe signed a Joint Communique in New York today establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

With this, the number of countries with which Nepal has diplomatic relations reached 180 among 192 member countries of the United Nations.

Republic of Cameroon is a country in west-central Africa lies on the Gulf of Guinea located along the Atlantic Ocean, it shares its borders with the Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Nigeria.

It is a Central African country of varied terrain and wildlife. Its inland capital, Yaoundé, and its biggest city, the seaport Douala, are transit points to ecotourism sites as well as beach resorts like Kribi – near the Chutes de la Lobé waterfalls, which plunge directly into the sea – and Limbe.

Cameroon is a lower-middle-income country with a population of over 27.2 million as of 2021.
