Differently-abled Israelis trek to ABC

Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder welcomed the Israeli trekkers upon their arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport after completion of their hiking around Annapurna Base Camp (ABC).

Representative of Nepal Tourism Board Laxman Gautam also among the persons welcomed the Israeli trekkers.

A group of 94 Israeli trekkers, including 34 physically challenged individuals returned to Kathmandu upon successfully completing an inspiring adventurous trek around the Mt. Annapurna Peak, said the press note of the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu.

The team comprised 12 trekkers, assisted by wheelchair, 22 physically challenged explorers and remaining supporting staff trekkers, embarked on the journey on 18 September concluded the trek with triumphantly on 26 September.

During the journey, the trekkers explored Manang spending 2 nights where they acclimatized adventurous nature to local culture, explored the food and enjoyed the local people’s harmonious mood. They successfully crossed the 5,416 meters high Thorung La pass.

Accumulating an incredible experience, the Israeli trekkers firm to spread a message of inspiration, inclusiveness, determination and awareness about the capabilities of differently-abled people gained incredible opportunities with teamwork support.
