The government has reappointed journalist Ranjan Sen as the first secretary (press) at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, India for the next two year on contractual basis.
The Public Administration Ministry today issued a notification in this regard, saying that his appointment would come into effect from today or the date of his joining the office as part of the continuation of his current appointment.
A friendly journalist, Sen was the former chief news editor at Ekushey Television also known by its acronym ETV, a Bangladeshi Bengali-language privately owned satellite and cable television channel. He had also served at ATN NEWS –a Bengali-language satellite and cable news-oriented television channel.
Bangladesh has five diplomatic representative offices in Agartala, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi of the Republic of India.
