Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Hanan Goder along with DCM at the embassy Tal Shvartsman handed over the medical supplies to the representatives of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) and Ministry of Health amidst a function organised today in capital, stated in a press release of the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu.
Earlier, a chartered flight of the Nepal Airlines brought huge volume of medical equipment including ventilators, oxygen concentrators and other medical tools from Tel Aviv that arrived in Kathmandu today, it said.
In Tel Aviv, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Yair Lapid said that Israel is proud to assist Nepal in its struggle against the Coronavirus.
Before departure of the medical cargo to Kathmandu, issuing a statement, the Minister said “Israeli friends worldwide know that in time of need, Israel will stand with them,” the release reads.
The medical cargo was sent by the State of Israel, MASHAV and the people of Israel to the people of Nepal.
Nepali Ambassador to Israel, Ms. Dr. Anjan Shakya and her team was involved in accumulation of medical-good items.
Also to note that, the Embassy earlier had handed medical equipment related to COVID pandemic to Dhulikhel, Patan and Bir Hospitals and Covid prevention materials to the Nepal Police, the release added.
