The health of the nation is at stake and cannot be compromised by a few reckless people who probably don’t fathom the seriousness of the issue. Officials note that they are confident the people will stay home and cooperate. We all hope so and plead with you: stay home.

In Eastern countries lockdown enforcement became a vital measures to control coronavirus. Thus, the statistics has not been so worse. Many countries are on lockdown and some countries have declared national emergencies which clearly picturized the danger facing the world. This outbreak of coronavirus has paralyzed world’s governments, shattered giant economies and shut down entire countries.

The fight against the coronavirus outbreak is a collective effort that will not succeed without the cooperation of the people, whom these measures are aimed to protect.

No doubt, the world crisis will surely end sooner or later. But for the time being, it is affecting all the aspects of life including businesses around the world shutdown, millions of people lost jobs, death tolls exceeded to six digits number.

Staying home is a sacrifice but may family bonds and friendships could strengthen. Staying home makes all safe that make march the world soon to return into normality. It will help stop the virus. And heal the Earth.

The devastating effects of Spanish flu of 1918, the Asian flu of 1957, and the Honk Kong flu of 1968 pandemic mortality rates were not so high compare to coronavirus. By the 1980s, the scourge of smallpox was wiped out. But then we had the horror of the HIV/Aids outbreak and then after world saw outbreaks of Ebola, Zika, H1N1, SARS and MERS.

Now world is watching the coronavirus pandemic crisis unfold which caused by a novel strain of coronavirus rapidly spreading all the nook and corners of the world hitting large populations worldwide.

According to the WHO, the disease presents a serious risk to the elderly and those with chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, and others with weakened immune system.

Washing hands with soap and water, lifts and removes viruses and also breaks them apart. It is our hope that one day soon, there will be a vaccine against Covid-19.

The pandemic strategy is being implemented by all the governments working together to combat the virus introducing swift limitations of the movement of people, group gathering. But crucially important is should stay quarantine, isolations, stay physical distancing all times and maintaining high levels of personal hygiene.

However, we are distancing ourselves physically but because of the advancement of IT we could connect socially via telephone and using other digital platforms.

Governments, across the world, are working to contain the spread of the virus that has claimed according to Worldometer as at April 11, 2020, 09:37 GMT 103,233 human lives and 1,705,862 people are lying in the hospital beds globally. We should not be fear but must stay alert to the threat to gradually control of the pandemic. Containing the pandemic’s impact is not just a government burden, but it is a collective action in which all must play a role.

So, only the mantra to be applied by all is “stay home, stay safe and save Nepal. And the world too.”
