The new executive committee of Servas’ Nepal chapter has been formed.
The new body was enodrsed for a three-year term, according to the Servas International’s regulations, with an anonymous by its members presented at an annual general meeting organized in Kathmandu on January 10, 2026.

Earlier, at the annual meeting, the national coordinator of Servas Nepal Secretariat Dinesh Tripathy, Advisor Shiva Shrestha among others spoke about the importance of Servas in the community.
Servas International (SI) is a worldwide multicultural networking forum connecting people for a peace and sustainable world that has consultative status as a non-governmental organization with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Bob Luitweiler was one of the founders. In 1952, the first Peace Builders International Conference was organized in Hamburg, Germany and the network and program was renamed as Servas which means “serve.” But, only in July 1972, Servas adopted its Charter at an international Servas conference in Wetzlar, Germany.

Servas has networking activities in over 100 countries with providing services to its members either in personal contact or to build friendships to broaden activities through understanding.
Servas members can be connected as hosts or travelers as well as supporters by sharing knowledge, cultural exchanges and building mutual trust to promote world peace.
Besides homestay facilities Servas also runs youth camps.
