The UAE’s Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed who is also popularly known as MBZ Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has been named the Arab world’s most influential leader 2019.
According to the Russia Today TV (RT), Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed received 9.74 million votes, of a total of about 13.9 million votes.
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was considered second most prominent leader, receiving almost 16 per cent of the vote, and Jordan’s King Abdullah third with 12 per cent.
Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sissi, the newly-elected Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune andTunisian President Kais Saied are also on the most influential Arab leaders.
The selection of Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed as the most influential Arab leader comes in recognition of his leading initiatives in the history of humanity that contributed to the spread of a culture of tolerance and peace in the world, defusing and mitigating a number of crises. His initiatives also contributed to standing against extremist ideologies.
Sheikh Mohamed played a vital role to lead the UAE’s efforts engaging with countries in the Arab world and beyond to further its influence and strengthen bilateral relationships.
