MUNI EXPO 2026 was organized in Israel from June 23 to June 24 at Expo Tel Aviv.
The MUNI EXPO 2026 Conference, Israel’s one of the premier conference and innovation exhibition, was hosted by the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel was attended by heads of state, government ministers, heads of authorities from all over the country, ambassadors, senior figures from the security establishment and the business sector.
The event gathered dozens of mayors of the various cities of the globe, policymakers, innovative leaders, entrepreneurs and decision-makers from across the municipal and public sectors to explore the future of cities and local governance providing opportunities to discuss urban management and resilience to discuss smart cities, urban resilience and crisis management.
Organized under the theme “Winning Partnership,” the MUNIEXPO 2026 conference focuses on the power of collaboration—between local and central government, the private sector, and technology providers—to drive growth, resilience, and innovative and effective public service.
Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Mr. Dhana Raj Acharya, Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ms. Sunita Dangol and Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City Mr. Manoj Kumar Sah Sudi attended the MUNIEXPO 2026 representing Nepal.
Also participating in the event were Spokesperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Chairperson of KMC Ward-17 Mr. Nabin Manandhar and Chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 3 Mr. Prem Thapa.
The Nepali delegation along with various other mayors from around the world observed MDA’s National Headquarters and Operations Center, new state-of-the-art National Blood Services Center, National Human Milk Bank, MDA Paramedic School, and National Emergency Dispatch Center. advanced emergency response vehicles visited Magen David Adom (MDA) facilities in Ramla and Jerusalem, organized in cooperation between the Public Diplomacy Division of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and MDA.

They learned about Israel’s emergency preparedness, disaster response, and MDA’s life-saving work during routine operations and emergencies. The visitors were also introduced to MDA’s unique and specialized emergency vehicles and technologies.
Welcoming the visiting guests at MDA, the Director General Eli Bin said “We were delighted to host mayors from Nepal, Panama and Chile to MDA–Israel’s National Emergency Medical, Disaster, Ambulance and Blood Service organization and provide them with an overview of MDA’s activities, to discuss shared challenges and potential areas for cooperation, and share some of the extensive operational knowledge we have accumulated at MDA.
The conference has highlighted key global challenges and opportunities, offering practical insights, forward-thinking discussions, and real-world case studies relevant to cities worldwide.
It is also believed that the MUNIEXPO has provided a room to connect with a high-level, diverse audience of municipal leaders, government officials, industry executives, and innovators—creating meaningful partnerships and new opportunities for collaboration.
