To lay the concrete efforts towards achieving a two-State solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict diplomats meet at UN Headquarters in New York on Friday.

All the UN Member States’ envoys are to bring out the blueprint for June conference outlining security arrangements for both Israelis and Palestinians as well as the economic viability, humanitarian action and reconstruction of a Palestinian State.

General Assembly President Philémon Yang urged countries to seize the crucial opportunity to finally make progress.

Co-chairs France and Saudi Arabia emphasised the need for the June conference to go beyond reaffirming principles and achieve concrete results on the ground.

The Conference will produce an action-oriented outcome with a clear and irreversible pathway toward a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.

Meanwhile, the UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for a permanent ceasefire to end the fighting between Israeli forces and HAMAS militants.

Revealing a five-stage plan (Ensure the delivery of aid to Gaza, inspect and scan aid at crossing points, transport aid from crossing points to humanitarian facilities, prepare aid for onward distribution, transport aid to people in need) to provide lifesaving aid to the people at Gaza on Friday, the UN Chief also urged immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.

He also urged Israel to accept UN plans.
