The United States of America marked the 25th anniversary of one of the horror attacks by extremists al-Qaida in New York Trade Tower on September 11, 2001 and at the Pentagon that killed total of 2,977 people.
On the day of September 11, 2001, in the morning al-Qaida extremists hijacked four commercial jets and crashed them into New York’s World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
With this attacks al Qaida brought down the icons of U.S. economic power, and among the tallest buildings on Earth the World Trade Center’s twin towers and blew a hole in the Pentagon, the U.S. military’s headquarters near Washington.
The New York ceremony began at 8:46 a.m., the moment American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower.
All four living former presidents — Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden — attended Friday’s ceremony at Ground Zero in New York, along with Vice President JD Vance.
Former President George W. Bush was in office on 9/11 incident.
Meanwhile, the Security Council also observed 25 years of the 9/11 attacks.
US President Donald J. Trump joined the Pentagon observance with First Lady Melanie Trump and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
At the memorial function, President Trump said September 11 reminded us of the terrible power of hate.”
He also turned to the ongoing war with Iran calling it the “world’s number one sponsor of terror,” saluting service members working to ensure that Iran “will never, ever have a nuclear weapon.”
As per the various reports, it said that over 9,400 people are estimated to have died from 9/11-related illnesses.
