Under a ceasefire deal, after 736 days on Monday from oct 7 2023 of captivity by Hamas all 20 remaining living hostages have been freed and handed over to the Red Cross on Monday.

All of them have been returned back to Israel and reunited with their parents and family members happily.

A ceasefire deal came two years after the October 7, 2023 between the Hamas movement and Israel came into force last Friday after it had been reached in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas-led militants attacked and killed 1,200 people including 10 Nepali students with 254 taken hostage.

Likewise, following the peace accord, over 1900 Palestinian prisoners and detainees were also freed by Israel.

The release of hostages from Hamas and prisoners from Israel were welcomed by the world.

According to the Gulf Times citing Gaza’s Health Ministry, the toll of the war Israel has been waging on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has hit 67,869 fatalities and 170,105 injuries.

According to the reports, however, Hamas said earlier that it would return the bodies of Guy Illouz, Yossi Sharabi, Bipin Joshi and IDF officer Cpt. Daniel Perez Monday among 28.

Meanwhile, US President Donald J. Trump declares Gaza war ‘over.’

In addition, Hamas has said that it could be difficult to locate the bodies of some of the deceased hostages within the set 72-hour deadline.
