The oil-rich kingdom Saudi Arabia has won the bid to host Expo 2030 in its capital, Riyadh.
The global event international fair to be held every five years will run in Saudi Arabia from October 1 2030 to March 31, 2031.
The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) Tuesday announced that Saudi Arabia gained 119 votes defeating Busan of the Republic of Korea received 29 votes and Rome of Italy 17 votes during the 173rd general assembly of the organization in Paris.

2034 FIFA World Cup
After Australia decided not to offer to host the tournament, Saudi Arabia confirmed to host the 2034 Men’s World Cup and claimed to be the organizer of the World Cup in 2034.
2026 World Cup America, Mexico and Canada will be held. Morocco, Portugal and Spain will host the World Cup in 2030, in which some games will be played by Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
FIFA said the 2034 World Cup would be held in Asia or Oceania, and Australia’s bid was seen as Saudi Arabia’s only potential challenger. But since he did not propose the project, it is certain that the World Cup will be held in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has become an ideal destination for hosting major international events, including the esteemed World Expo.”
“The World Expo 2030 coincides with a crucial year for the realization of the goals and plans outlined in Saudi Vision 2030,” Prince said.
