Thai envoy pays courtesy call on Tourism Minister

‘Kathmandu-Bangkok flight resumes soon’

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Nepal Vosita Vorasaph paid a courtesy call on Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale at the latter’s office in Singh Durbar Thursday.

According to the ministry sources, the Minister and the Ambassador discussed various bilateral and related mutual benefit issues.

During a meeting, the Royal Thai Ambassador Vorasaph apprised the Minister Ale that that there would be regular Bangkok-Kathmandu flights sooner that was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, Minister Ale praised the Thai government’s friendship as well as brotherhood- cooperation extended to the development of Nepal.

He also lauded the contributions made by the Thai government and Thai people in the Lumbini area.

Expressing “Heartfelt Thanks” on behalf of the Nepal government to the Thai government and people through the Thai envoy for the entire brotherhood cooperation to Nepal including Lumbini development Minister Ale also urged Thai assistance for the Maternity Hospital in Lumbini, the ministry sources added.

Thai envoy Vorasaph convinced the Minuister saying he would do his utmost for the growth and development of Lumbini, it said.

Meanwhile, the sources also said that Minister also urged the Thai envoy to facilitate with the Thai government for visas to Nepali citizens. In addition, the Minister also asked for cooperation in providing concessional rates in treatment to Nepali citizens in various hospitals in Bangkok.
