The Government of Qatar has provided oxygen tankers worth Qatari Riyals 745,000 equivalent to Nepalese Rupees 24.6 million to the Nepal Government.
Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal Yousuf Bin Mohamed Ahmed Al-Hail handed over the necessary documents related to the oxygen tanker to the Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal Government Dr. Roshan Pokharel amidst a function organized in the capital Today-Wednesday (May 11).
The oxygen tanker features 40-foot-long and a capacity of 13,500 kg.
On the occasion, Ambassador Al-Hail said the Qatari government was ready to assist the Nepali government in all areas.
Secretary Dr. Pokharel thanked the Government of Qatar for the assistance and said further that “Government of Nepal highly appreciated the various assistance being provided by the Government of Qatar.”
Qatar has been assisting Nepal for development of various arenas. Apart from providing time and need assistance, it is also notable that the Government of Qatar through the Qatar Fund for Development (QFD) has provided various health related materials including face masks, ventilators and oxygen concentrators during the high time of COVID-19 pandemic.
At the event, the message of Executive Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development Khalifa Jassim Al-Kuwari was heard in which he pledged that the Government of Qatar would always support the Government of Nepal for the development activities.
