PM Dahal to begin India visit from May 31

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is leaving for an official visit to India on 31 May 2023.

According to the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) PM Dahal is paying a state visit at the cordial invitation of the Prime Minister of India HE Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Dahal will be accompanied by his daughter Ms. Ganga Dahal. The entourage will comprise Ministers, Secretaries, and senior officials of the Government of Nepal, added the MOFA.

During the visit, PM Dahal is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President of India HE Mrs. Droupadi Murmu and Vice President of India HE Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Prime Minister Dahal and India PM Modi will hold talks at Hyderabad House, on 1 June 2023 and will be followed by a joint press meet.

PM Dahal will attend the luncheon to be hosted by PM Modi in honour of the Nepalese Prime Minister and his delegation.

PM Dahal is also scheduled to address Nepal-India Business Summit in New Delhi jointly organized by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and interact with business leaders of both countries.

Likewise, PM Dahal will also interact with the Nepalese community in India over a welcome reception being hosted by the Ambassador of Nepal to India, Shankar Prasad Sharma.

PM Dahal will also visit Ujjain and Indore, of Madhya Pradesh.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to return back home on June 3, 2023, MoFA said.

This is the fourth visit of Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ to India as the Prime Minister of Nepal. The visit will further strengthen the age-old, multifaceted, and cordial relations between Nepal and India, it added.
