Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been invited to the ‘Democracy Conference’ to be organized in the USA next month.
While speaking at a press conference held on Wednesday, before her departure to home, after concluding her two day mission to Nepal, the chief of USAID Samantha Power said that the Nepal’s PM Dahal was invited to the conference to be hosted by the US President Joe Biden where most of the conference programs are to be in an informal.
For the invited guests from around the world, it will be an opportunity to address the world by the Prime Minister of Nepal.
The conference is to be held in-person and virtual too.
“This will be an opportunity to share the Prime Minister’s past commitments and promises of reforms and his plans to strengthen the rule of law and democratic institutions in the future,” she said.
She said that the civil society is also playing a role to implement the commitment made in the last conference.
Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba participated in the same kind of conference held some years before.
