Newari language has been added in Google’s Search engine platform.
Newari language can now be translated using Google Translate. According to a report, Google has announced on June 27 that it has added 110 languages of the world.
Besides, the Newari language, Maithili and Bhojpuri languages have also been added on the translation platform.
Newari is the language spoken by the Newars, an inhabitant of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur) is known officially as Nepal Bhasa.
Nearly half of the Kathmandu Valley’s population is Newar, a people with a rich culture and traditions. The Newars are Hindus and Buddhists.

As of June 2024, Google Translate supports 243 languages at various levels claiming over 500 million total users as of April 2016. With more than 100 billion words translated daily, it served over 200 million people daily.
In December 2013, Google included Nepali language in its Google Translate service. Google has been saying that it is trying to connect people by breaking the language barrier through Google Translate.
