Nepal Airlines has entered into flight agreements with four international airlines
The national flag carrier of Nepal, Nepal Airlines (NA) has signed agreements with four different international airlines.
Nepal Airlines Corporation, formerly known as Royal Nepal Airlines, is the flag carrier of Nepal. Founded in 1958, it is the oldest airline of the country. Out of its main base at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, the airline operates domestic services within Nepal and medium-haul services in Asia.
Currently, Nepal Airlines serves 10 international destinations by its 2 Airbus A320 from its hub at Tribhuvan International Airport.
As per the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the corporation has inked different air service agreements with Thai Airways (THAI) of Thailand, All Nippon Airlines (ANA) of Japan, Kuwait Airways Kuwait and Emirates United Arab Emirates.
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, trading as THAI, is the flag carrier airline of Thailand flying since 1961.
The Tokyo based All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., also known as ANA is the largest airline in Japan by revenues and passenger numbers.
Kuwait Airways is the national carrier of Kuwait.
Emirates is the largest airline and one of two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates which has headquartered in Dubai.
In the presence of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Bahadur Ale, the Corporation has entered into bilateral agreements with four companies operating in 10 different airlines, including various cities in Europe, Sydney in Australia, Seoul in South Korea, Kuwait and Bahrain, NAC said.
The corporation has stated that the passengers will be more comfortable through the agreement made using the minimum ‘transit’ time.
With this, the NAC is also expected to create additional sources of income. The corporation has also stated that tickets of airlines can be easily obtained from the central office and authorized travel agencies of the corporation.
Meanwhile, NAC is also coordinating with various airlines for similar agreements in various US cities.
