Miss R Bonnie Gabriel of America grabbed the much-coveted title Miss Universe 2022 on Sunday in Nepal and Saturday in the United States of America.
A 28-year-old Filipino American Miss Gabrielle is a model, fashion designer and sewing instructor from Texas State.
The competition was held on Saturday in the city of New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, State of Louisiana of the United States of America Saturday night, Miss Gabrielle was Crowned by Miss Harnaz Sandhu, the winner of Miss Universe 2021.
Besides, other evaluation Miss Gabrielle pushed all other 83 contestants at this 71st edition making impressive to the judge panel comprises of Ximena Navarrete, Big Freedia, Mara Martin, Wendy Fitzwilliam, Emily Austin, Olivia Quido, Myrka Dellanos, Sweta Patel, Kathleen Ventrella and Olivia Jordan, answering the judge’s question saying “I will use it as a transformational leader. As a passionate designer for 13 years, I have used fashion for good. I make clothes from recycled materials to reduce pollution. I train women to sew so they can escape human trafficking and domestic violence.”
“I say this because it is important to give back to others, to the community, and to use your skills to make a difference. We all have something special in us and when we sow these seeds in others, we change them too and harness that through change,” she concluded.
Judge asked the top three contestants including Miss America R Bonnie Gabriel, Amanda Dudamel from Venezuela and Andrina Martinez from the Dominican Republic with the questions “if you were to become Miss Universe, how would you work to show it as a strong and progressive organization?”
Miss Amanda Dudamel from Venezuela declared the first runner-up and Miss Andrina Martinez from the Dominican Republic became the second runner-up.
According to the report, the main purpose of organizing this beauty pageant is to encourage women from all over the world.
The crown of Miss Universe is worth US $4.9 hundred million.
Miss Army Kusela won the first title of this competition. The Miss Universe Organization of America has organized this beauty pageant.
Miss Sophia Bhujel represented from Nepal at the competition.
With Gabrielle’s winning the title America won the Miss Universe crown almost after a decade. In 2012, America’s Olivia Culpo won Miss Universe. Gabrielle is also the first Filipino American to win Miss USA.
Miss Universe Curacao 2022 Gabriëla Dos Santos, Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2022 Andreina Martinez Founier, Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 Ashley Cariño, Miss Universe USA 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel and Miss Universe Venezuela 2022 Amanda Dudamel reached in the top five finalist.
