The International Press Institute (IPI), first started in 1950 at Columbia University in New York, is hosting the 2022 World Congress from September 8 to 10, 2022.
According to information, journalists worldwide can attend a hybrid and in-person press freedom event at Columbia University in New York City.
The two-and-a-half-day event will be held under the title “Journalism on the Frontline of Democracy” designed to bring journalists together to discuss how they can advance, protect and sustain journalism that lights up the world with its power of storytelling.
The event includes panels and roundtables that will discuss life on the press freedom frontline, what journalists can do about dis/misinformation, collaboration in a time of crisis, new models for new audiences.
Also, journalism under attack, US January 6 hangover, newsgathering: options and challenges, local journalism on the global scale, media and the platforms, global crisis, experiences, newsroom, what next etc. will also be discussed.
A conversation with Nobel Peace Prize Laureates journalists will also be held.
