HLPF meet in New York from July 8

The Economic and Social Council is to organize the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York from July 8 to  July 17, 2024.

The main UN platform for sustainable development –HLPF has a central role in the follow-up and review of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Under the theme “From the SDG Summit to the Summit of the Future” there will be a three-day ministerial meeting from July 15 to July 17, 2024 said the HLPF reports.

Nepal including Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belize, Brazil, Chad, Colombia, Congo (Republic of the), Costa Rica, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Georgia, Guinea, Honduras, Kenya, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Libya, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Namibia, Oman, Palau, Peru, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zimbabwe will carry out voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of their implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the 2024 HLPF.

Each year, countries gather at the UN to report their successes and challenges in bringing the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to life.
