Global Future Councils meet in Dubai ends

At the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils 2024 took place from 15 to 17 October in Dubai over 500 experts from various walks-of-life including leaders from academia, government, international organizations, business and civil society addressed the world’s most pressing issues related to economic inequality, climate emergency and geopolitical tensions.

Experts’ thought at the Global Future Council Meeting organized in collaboration with the government of the United Arab Emirates has set the tone for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 in Davos creating a world that is more complex and uncertain than ever before,” said Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, World Economic Forum.

“We are meeting at a time when the world is entering a more contentious, contested era,” said Mirek Dušek, Managing Director, World Economic Forum.

Participants engaged in high-level discussion at the meeting where the Forum also launched a custom-built Strategic Intelligence platform for the UAE the implementation of the “We the UAE Vision 2031”, as well as a cybersecurity report.

The Forum also published a series of reports on artificial intelligence in advocating for policy to drive responsible technology design to ensure technology contributes positively to a flourishing world emphasizing the role of government policies, public-private partnerships and technological innovations.
