As soon as he was elected as the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Sah introduced new programs for the benefit of the Kathmanduties creating an idea to make the toilets of the city’s restaurants public.
We know toilets play a crucial role in the human lives which use to remove human waste away.
A public toilet also called a restroom or washroom is a room for toilets (or urinals) and sinks for use by the general public. These days it should be a disabled friendly too.
In this regard, the Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Sah today has made public the sign of the public toilet.
In a social media reaction, he also urged the hotels, restaurants and banks to facilitate their rest rooms for the public.
“Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has requested hotels, restaurants, banks and others to come in contact within seven days if the public is allowed to use the toilets,” Mayor Sah writes.
It is to be remembered here that the first meeting of the executive committee of the KMC had decided to request hotels, restaurants, banks, commercial buildings, malls, shopping complexes, companies and non-governmental organizations to facilitate their toilets for the use to the public.
Now it is believed that the person in Kathmandu would feel relaxed as they can have numerous toilets here and there around. This concept has been taken as a positive by the people.
During his election campaign Sah had brought the concept of public toilets to be implemented to solve the toilet problem in Kathmandu, if he was elected.
RDX Restaurant, Tattoo & Bar located at Narasimha Chowk, Kathmandu, announced that it has made its toilets public.
They have also put the sign board in front of the toilet with the slogan ‘Balen for us, We for Balen’.
From restaurants to workshops and driving centers, public toilets have been announced with trending slogans of ‘Balen for Us We for Balen’.
