Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal has been appointed to the vacant post of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Wednesday.
The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aryal took the oath of office and secrecy before Prime Minister and Chancellor of the university, KP Sharma Oli at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar.
Prof Aryal who was the former head of the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology was appointed TU VC by the Prime Minister from among the three candidates recommended by a selection committee that was lying vacant since March 28 after the then VC resigned from the post.
