Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) organized a Consultative Workshop for its Volunteer Partner Organizations on September 29, 2023 in Kathmandu.
The workshop participated in by 13 volunteer partner organizations reviewed and evaluated KOICA’s volunteer program to further improve the upcoming volunteer program in Nepal, said the KOICA press note.
Speaking at the program, the Country Director of KOICA Nepal Office Mooheon Kong stressed on the significance of collaboration with recipient organizations to strengthen the KOICA’s programs in Nepal in fostering friendly cooperation and mutual exchange between Korea and developing nations while supporting their economic and social development.
Deputy Country Director of KOICA Ms. Yoonhee Chung spoke on the recommendations and suggestions received.
The workshop also facilitated discussions on the experiences of volunteer recipient organizations.
Volunteer Program is one of the programs of the KOICA that aims to contribute to poverty reduction and sustainable development and to promote friendly relations between Korea and host countries.
Under this program, there are 10 Korean volunteers who are actively working in various sectors in Nepal.
