The Council of Minister has named the Consul General to Hong Kong and Lhasa of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of China at its meeting held on Sunday evening.
According to the meeting, joint secretaries Udaya Ranamagar and Navaraj Dhakal have been appointed to Hong Kong and Lhasa respectively.
Prior to appointment, they were transfer to the foreign service as per the regulations as they were from administration service.
Ranamagar was serving as Chief District Officer in Jhapa district whereas Dhakal was at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
Nepal has six missions of the Consulate General in New York in the USA, Hong Kong, Lhasa and Guangzhou of the China, Kolkata of India, and Jeddah of Saudi Arabia.
