‘CNI Jobs & Skills Fair-22’ from Nov 3 in capital

The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) is to organize “Jobs and Skills Fair-2022” in the capital.

“CNI Job and Skill Fair 2079” will be held at Bhrikuti Mandap ground located at Exhibition Road of Kathmandu from November 3 to November 6, 2022, said the press release of the CNI.

Around half a million human resources are looking for employment in the country every year along various companies are seeking employees from drivers to the top management level, it stated adding, however, on the one hand, the companies are not easily able to get employees as per their requirement and on the other hand, it seems that the people who are looking for employment are not able to apply and get in touch with the respective companies.

There is also a situation of getting employees but not being able to get skilled employees, it reads.

What is the reason that there is no harmony between employers and potential employees? What is the role of the private sector and government agencies?

Focusing on these issues, the Education Unit of CNI joining hands with Employers’ Council is going to organize ‘CNI Job and Skills Fair 2079’ which will act as a bridge to connect different companies and job seekers in one place.

Similarly, there will also be broad discussion on how to meet the needs of employers’ demand for skilled employees.

CNI hopes that this fair will help to reduce the gap seen in the market of potential skilled employees’ and employers’, bridging between the government and other stakeholders with job seekers, identifying the policy and curriculum required to create world-class manpower in Nepal.

Participation of national and international companies, extensive discussion on various topics related to skill development, presentations by national and international experts on skill development, contact/discussion with companies for work according to employees’ ability are the attractions of the fair.

It is expected that more than 200 companies are going to participate in the four-day fair that might see over 50,000 people from various sectors including corporate houses, innovation, students, service and manufacturing industries, private, public and government officials.
