Ukraine says it will plant one billion trees across the country in the next three years.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced Ukraine hopes to plant around three billion trees over the next decade to restore the “lungs of the planet”.

As trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas produced by burning fossil fuels, like oil and coal. Ukraine plans to build over ten modern breeding and seed centres in the next three years.

As Europe declared to plant three billion trees in ten years, but Ukraine is planting one billion in three years. However, the experts claimed this is not possible, technically as it must plant 10 trees or 200 seedlings in a second.
