111 expedition teams permitted to climb 25 mountains in Spring Season

Among many, Nepal is also popular for mountain climbing.

Spring and Autumn seasons are the best peak climbing seasons.

During this season the weather is mostly warm, no rain, and long daytime.  Also, in the mountains the volume of snow covering is little less than cold time and also more clear.

The spring season ranges from March to May for three months.

According to the alpinists, the main climbing season towards Mount Everest is April and May each year.

Reaching at the top of Mt. Everest the highest roof of the world at an elevation of 8848.86 meters is one of the most aim of the life of the alpinists of the world.

Thus, every year hundreds of alpinists from around the world come to Nepal dreaming to conquer the world’s highest snow-capped peak putting their lives at risk.

Everest climbing in the fall season is one of the good times.

Compared to the Autumn Season, the number of expeditions to the various snow-peaked mountains will be higher.

According to the Department of Tourism, generally the tourist arrivals ratio is also increased in the Spring season due to the season of mountaineering ‘expeditions’.

As per the Department of Tourism, till April end, this Spring season has 111 teams permitted to scale different 25 peaks.

The department said, the 39 expedition teams of 918 people from 74 countries including Nepal have been granted permission to climb the mountains.

Of them 718 are men and 200 women including 113 crew members.

Department also said that the 316 climbers (243 men and 73 women alpinists) have been allowed to climb the highest peak, Mount Everest.

With this permission granted to scale various mountains, the department has collected NRs. 479.23 million as a Salutation fees from the mountaineers.
