Organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management, the MEDCOM annual conference series initiated in 2015 (The MEDCOM 2015) in Beijing, China.
The 2nd conference (The MEDCOM 2016) was held in Bangkok, Thailand whereas the 3rd conference (The MEDCOM 2017) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The 4th conference (MEDCOM 2018) and 5th conference (MEDCOM 2019) chose Bangkok, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia again respectively.
Duie to the COVID, the 6th and 7th editions were held online.
However, the 8th conference (MEDCOM 2023) again returned to Bangkok, Thailand but the 9th edition of MEDCOM (MEDCOM 2024) was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
